The right R-value, the right number of batts
Insulation has two parts: how much you need (the batt count for the wall, ceiling and floor area, allowing for framing and offcuts) and what R-value it has to hit. Under H1 the construction R-values change by climate zone, and the 6th edition lifted the bar again, so the batt you spec has to suit the zone and the build-up.
