Everyone on site, signed in — by scanning a QR

Pin one QR code at the gate. Subbies, visitors and delivery drivers scan it, sign in and tick the site induction on their own phone — no app, no login — and you get a live “who’s on site” register for the job.

One QR at the gate, a register that fills itself

WorkSafe and a later claim both ask the same thing: who was on site, and were they inducted. Toolie answers it without a clipboard. You pin a QR code (or share the link) at the site entrance; anyone who arrives — a subbie, a visitor, a delivery driver — scans it and signs in on their own phone with no login and nothing to install. Their name, company and reason for being there land in a live on-site register against that job.

Induction built into the sign-in

The sign-in gate holds a site induction acknowledgement — the person can’t complete sign-in until they’ve read and ticked your site rules. So induction isn’t a separate form that never gets filled in; it happens the moment someone steps on site, and it’s stamped with the time.

Part of your H&S system, not a bolt-on

The register sits alongside your hazards, SWMS and toolbox talks and your subcontractor and LBP records, so “who was here and were they inducted” is one system, not three. It’s an evidence aid; you’re still responsible for your own site safety.

Common questions

What is a site sign-in app?

It records who comes onto a building site and when. With Toolie you pin a QR code at the entrance; anyone who arrives scans it and signs in on their phone with no login, and they appear in a live who's-on-site register for that job.

Does it handle site inductions?

Yes - the sign-in includes a site induction acknowledgement, so a person can't finish signing in until they've read and ticked your site rules. The acknowledgement is time-stamped against their visit.

Do visitors need to install anything?

No - a subbie, visitor or delivery driver just scans the QR (or taps the link) and signs in on their own phone. No account and no app to install.

Is it secure?

Yes - the on-site QR is keyed to the job, not to the client's private quote or portal, and the sign-in is written through a validated server function, so scanning the code can never expose your pricing or other job data.
